How I Met with Low-code/No-code?

Embarking on a journey abroad for my master's studies opened the door to a world of opportunities and unexpected encounters. Little did I know that this adventure would lead me to a revolutionary way of problem-solving in the tech world—Power Platform and low code/no code development. My Experience at Ecolab Central Analytics

Upon completing my master's studies, I found myself working as a data analyst at Ecolab Barcelona—a global leader in water, hygiene, and infection prevention solutions. Ecolab's commitment to sustainability and innovation set the stage for my introduction to the challenges of managing diverse data sources within the company.

My journey into the world of low code/no code began when I encountered a challenging project. Gathering data from various warehouses, each with different ERP systems (some with SAP, others with Oracle, and some with no ERP system at all), made monitoring back orders and inventory a formidable task.

It was during this project that we needed to build an app to collect data from the warehouses that did not have an ERP system in place. The simplicity and efficiency of the solution left me in awe, igniting my curiosity and prompting me to delve into the world of low code/no code development.

Inspired by this success, I decided to learn low code/no code alongside my daily responsibilities. As I delved into this new realm, I began developing solutions that streamlined processes and enhanced efficiency within the data analytics domain.

Nexans and the 7-Day App Development Challenge

Fast forward to my role as a transformation leader at Nexans, where the need arose to consolidate project status data from 16 different countries, comprising approximately 200 projects. Faced with this formidable challenge, my team and I harnessed the power of low code/no code development.

In a remarkable feat, we developed a customized app in just seven days. This transformative tool enabled us to consolidate and visualize project data seamlessly, empowering the entire organization with real-time insights.

Building Parlon to Democratize Technology

The triumph of the 7-day app development challenge at Nexans marked a turning point in my career. Buoyed by the success of our transformative project, I realized the immense potential of low code/no code development to revolutionize digital solutions across various domains.

Energized by this realization, I continued to leverage my newfound skills, embarking on a journey of building customized apps for diverse use cases. The positive impact of these applications resonated not only within Nexans but also across other spheres of my professional network. Driven by a passion for accelerating digitalization and democratizing access to technology, I took a bold step and founded Parlon Solutions— aimed at breaking down barriers and making technology more accessible to all.
